Blog Secures Long-Term Funding, based on its COVID-19 Response Efforts

Funding to support continued development of GeoHealth Platform as well as expand staffing

Rockville, MD, Monday, July 27, 2020 – is proud to announce that it has secured funding to support at least the next four (4) years of planned operational expenses, including expanded staffing and continued development of its patent-pending GeoHealth Platform. Support comes through corporate and foundation sources and is a recognition that improved data analytic and decision support tools are needed to improve early detection and response to the current pandemic and potentially future contagious viral diseases.

Funding is based on the success of the firm’s ongoing support for COVID-19 response effort at the Federal level and across multiple states. Using the GeoHealth Platform, has developed a unique approach to predict the risk of spread and location of future outbreaks of COVID-19, through its Transmission Risk Index. In addition, its Mortality Risk Index identifies the regions with the highest risk of critical illness and death due to the virus.

Leveraging the Platform and pandemic risk indices, has also aided states identify the potential range of required ventilators and their potential locations, as well as take a data analytic approach to identify personal protective equipment (PPE) needs by type at a health system or state-wide level.
