Going to the Crowd to Fund Cannabis Clinical Trials

We have launched our first crowd funding campaign – to fund our Cannabis clinical trials. Take a look.

HSR has designed a series of human-subject clinical trial to assess the efficacy of Cannabis towards the treatment of Chronic Arthritic Pain. We need to raise $250,000 to perform the first trial. While the trail may cost slightly less than $250,000, this amount gives us confidence we can complete the trail without interruption.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution. Contributions can be made either on the GoFundMe platform (link above) or directly through the Support HSR link on our website.

Why Cannabis? And Why Chronic Arthritic Pain?

Current treatment for chronic arthritic pain often involve opioids. While these drugs can treat the pain, they are highly addictive – leading to our nation’s current opioid addiction epidemic. Opioids can also be an expensive medication, especially without insurance coverage.

Cannabis is long been indicated for its pain relief and anti-inflammatory qualities. This trail will assess if Cannabis can provide doctors and patients a reliable and cost-effective option to opioids for the treatment of chronic arthritic pain.

Cannabis can also be less addictive than opioids, potentially reducing the huge burden opioid addiction can pose to health systems, as well as individuals, families, and entire communities.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, all contributions and donations to HSR are tax-deductible. For more information on our trials, please contact Ajay Gupta.
